We would like to update you on the situation at Parker & Hammond and how we will be taking care of you through this very difficult time. The first thing we should stress is that we are very much in business and here to ensure you get the services and products you need.
We have to balance the need to protect our amazing team of staff with our common wish to ensure all our patients are looked after. For this reason we are offering only telephone consultations with our optometrists. These appointments can be arranged through our online booking platform or by calling the us. If our optometrist believes it is necessary for you to visit the practice they will arrange this for you and advise the protocol around that.
If you need further supplies of contact lenses or solutions, please request these by email. If that’s not possible then you can call us to arrange this. During this period our phone lines will be staffed Monday-Friday between 9am and 5.30pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm, with an answerphone service outside these hours. Please be aware that to minimise any risk, we only have a skeleton staff working each day and so your emails and phone calls will not be dealt with as quickly as you’d normally expect.
For everyone’s protection, please do not come to the practice without a pre-arranged arrangement as our staff will not be able to assist you.
The Parker & Hammond team will be working hard through this period to ensure we provide the best care and service that’s possible within the rules we now have to follow.
